Arches National Park

Ernie, Dora's Brother Ernie, who lives in Richfield UT, came to Moab to see Arches and Canyonlands

Below is the most photographed Arch in Arches National Park. It's called Delicate Arch. It was about a 1 mile walk and it was about 108 that day, so we decided to to make the trek. So I took this shot with my 400mm lens.

Durango-Silverton Railroad

This Lady followed the train and got ahead of it and stoped and waved at the train. I guess she did it every day.

Here she is again waving at the train.

When ever we stopped the breakman walked back to make sure the followcar stopped. Not that they weren't in radio contact. But it is train tradition to walk back

Here is the follow car. He is following the train to put out fires that are started by the train along the way.

Here we stopped to let off the Zip Liners. 

This helicopter is owned by the train. It also flies up watching for fires along the train line.

I walked forward in the train looking at the other cars.

 

This is the food car.

Here we stopped to let off hikers. It is called a flag stop. There were several place along the way where hikers could flag down the passing train.

Went through a grove of Aspen trees.

This is where we ate lunch
